Raised in Compton, California, for two significant stretches in his life (1962-1977 and 2005-2012), CT Fletcher faced a turbulent childhood marked by adversity. As the son of a Pentecostal preacher, he grappled with a difficult relationship with his father and endured physical abuse from a pillar of their community. Despite these harrowing experiences, CT's indomitable spirit would soon shine through.

In 1977, at the age of 18, CT Fletcher embarked on a new chapter of his life by enlisting in the Army. He underwent basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and went on to serve in the 21st Replacement Battalion stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. His military service laid the foundation for his remarkable journey ahead.

Rise to World Champion Status
